So would you run the isky I have or spend the money on something else? This is just a truck 390 with headers, 4 barrel iron intake, 600 cfm edelbrock and will be driven unloaded 70% of the time and pulling a trailer the other 30%. I emailed lunti and they recomend a 10330700 cam: the specs are:ĭuration at 050 inch Lift: 202 int./208 exh. I have an isky 256/262 cam, lifter and timing set on the shelf. It has power brakes, c6 and a dana 60 with 3.54 gears. Its going in a 73 F250 with 235/85/16s which are a about 30-31 inches tall. I want to stay with a hydrualic flat tappet cam becuase I dont have to money to go roller or scounge up the money for an adjustable set up to run a solid cam. Now one thing I will need to figure out and dont want to have to figure it out on the spot will be what cam to get. What im hoping to do will be just a basic rebuild, buy Barrys 390 kit and call it a day. If I find that the cam has a lobe or two flat my game plan will be a full tear down, clean everything up and take my parts to the local machine shop and get some measurments and see how everything looks. This week I will hopefully get to pulling the engine and start checking it out. If anyone has been following my threads from the last few weeks you can put two and two together that I flattened the erson cam I installed in my 390.
